Please keep in mind that each invitation design in our shop can be customized with your wording, colors as well as a different font.

How much can I expect to spend for a custom invitation?
Each invitation suite that Flair Necessities creates is custom designed and unique to each event. As such, it is hard to give an exact number. Our base price for a custom designed invitation suite starts at $2,000.00 but it is best to email us for more information.

How does the custom process work?
Flair Necessities is located in the metro Detroit area so whether you are local or miles away, your personal Flair Necessities designer can work with you via phone, email, Skype (Facetime) or in person. It is generally best to start the invitation process 5-6 months in advance however we can accommodate less time for an additional fee.


To begin the process you will be emailed a link to a short questionnaire which will help us learn more about you, your style and what exactly you are looking for for your stationery needs. If you are local we would be happy to meet with you in person, so you can review our portfolio and we can fill out the questionnaire together. During this initial meeting your personal Flair Necessities designer will work with you one-on-one to discuss your vision of the invitation, discover your style and personality, accumulate information, including verbiage, your budget and requested quantity. During this time, we will review any other inspirational materials brought forth by you, present samples of our work and go over designs that might fit best with your theme.


After the initial consultation and brainstorming session, Flair Necessities will provide you with a proposal and price quote. This quote is an estimate of what your invitation package will cost. This precedes the design phase so an exact package price will be provided with the presentation of your invitation concepts. If extensive changes are made or if the invitation parameters/quantities change post the initial designs you will be notified of the additional cost.


If you choose Flair Necessities to be your personal invitation designer, we require a 50% deposit and a signed concept contract to begin the design phase. This deposit is put toward your final order total. Upon receipt of the deposit we will put together a digital invitation mockup based on the agreed upon concept from the proposal.


Two weeks later you will be shown a digital mock-up of the invitation or save the date design. The mockup will include the invitation, response card, envelopes and any additional cards needed. You will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify any changes you want to make or new ideas you may wish to incorporate into the final draft. You can make up to three rounds of revisions without incurring additional costs. 


Once the design has been finalized you will receive an approval sheet and final invoice for payment. The signed approval sheet is your confirmation and approval that you have reviewed all invitation pieces for spelling, grammar, punctuation and layout. Flair Necessities does not assume any responsibility for grammatical or spelling errors once the items have been approved. The final order invoice will include all the items you are ordering, their quantities, and the final total for all items. After the signed approval sheet and final payment have been received your invitations will be sent to print. 


The order is considered final at this point. Changes in design, quantity, or printing options will incur additional costs. The printing and assembly usually takes 5-8 weeks but can be expedited for an additional fee.

Your invitations will be packaged very carefully and will be shipped via Fed Ex with insurance and tracking. Your beautiful invitations will arrive in 2-5 days and will be all ready for mailing to your guests. If you would prefer that we mail out the invitations to your guests we can do so for an additional fee.
